For a while now I've been talking with a friend of mine for a photoshoot with his Mazda Mx5 and today we finally got around to having that shoot. Coincidentally (not really) Project-G was having their 1st year Anniversary meet at their shop in Baldwin Park. If you're not familiar with Project-G, they mainly work on Mazda roadsters/coupes.
Normally, I don't shoot during the day especially when the sun is at it's most highest point. But practice makes perfect and I'd like to think that I made the most out of what I had to work with (location, lighting, my headache).
On to the meet. As soon as we wrapped up the shoot, we headed out to Project-G. Not surprising, my car stuck out like a sore thumb. In a sea of little Mazda Miatas and Mx5s, there was a lone Mustang chilling in the parking lot XD. Project G did their best to stuff as many cars into their lot as possible however, a few had to park outside the shop and not be able to show off their car. Personally, I think they were lucky since so many cars were parked ever so close to each other allowing little to no breathing room.
The vibe you get from seeing these cars is that of a project. Every car is unique to their owner, each having a distinct personality which is important for identity; to stand out among the rest.
Always fun to see Honda Ruckus' at car meets. No matter how they look, they'll always be a great project to work on/show off.
Overall a good time, fun atmosphere, music, some free swag, car enthusiasts all around, and good vibes. Be sure to check out my friend's (Kevin) photography page, as well the auto's pg for more pics of Kevin's Mx5 and Project-G's meet coverage
